EG4 18/12kPV

If you want to sell energy back to the grid, you will need a hybrid inverter. All you have to do is purchase the inverter and find an electrican that will install it. If you install it yourself, understand that you need to get permission from your utility. This is called "PTO" (permission to operate). This will allow you to sell back energy to the grid for money or credits you can use in the future. 

Grid inveractive inverters are called "hybrid" inverters. And they are entirely different from offgrid inverters. Hybrid inverters need to be tested and certified by the governement or third party companies that they approve of. 

My current favorite hybrid inverter is the 18KPV. They also make a smaller version of the 18KPV, the 12KPV. The 18KPV has a 12kW inverter output, and the 12KPV has a 8kW output. 

The 18KPV is designed to work with the EG4 Powerpro Battery. This battery is a better value than server rack batteries! And they look a lot better and have more features including bus bar and quick connects, communications and 8,000 charge cycling rating.

The 18KPV has grid interactive features and is code compliant in all 50 states.
