Battery Capacity testers

Test your own batteries! No need to trust to youtubers or forum members, do your own tests!

This is the workhorse of my lab. I run battery tests for weeks on end. I have had 5 of their past battery testers, but this one is by far the best. It finally  has a built in fuse, voltage sensing leads and can go up to 100VDC.

It might take a few days to test a large battery, but you will get accurate results every time.

Most battery testers die after a few months. This one will last for years. The only way that I have been able to kill one is with overvoltage. So be sure to get the 100V model if you want to test 48V batteries that can go up to 60V (their older model only did 50V, which is how I destroyed it)!

When you do a battery test, the temperature of the pack needs to be above 75 degrees F, and the pack need to be charged to absolute full. This means attaching a battery charger on it overnight. Charging up nice and slow to 100% will ensure that the cells are balanced. Once it is fully charged, hook up the CBA V to the terminals and connect it to your computer and conduct the test! Anyone can do it

This company is horribly slow with fulfilling orders. They may have the most reliable and accurate tester, but man they are a pain to purchase from. Sometimes I have to wait 4 months just for mine to arrive. I am currently waiting on one of their amplifiers and when I emailed them last week on when my order will arrive, they said "we really dont know". But they eventually send the orders. Just takes a long time.
